“A SINGLE LIT MATCH”

Lonely and Alone

Lonely and Alone

Sitting lonely and alone, having only electrons to warm my face. Fake contentment contradicting, my longing for any other place.

Outwardly lying to others, false smiles zealously worn upon my lips.
Inwardly crying hysterically, praying my eyes don’t betray my mind trips.

Panic driven droughts of calm, I can’t remember how long it has been.
Since the gentle rains of contentment has soothed my self induced sin.

What happened to my inner peace, so many steps we shared as friends.
All contentment has abandoned me, that day you and I came to an end.

“If I had a Time Machine”

If I could go anywhere, be at any time, oh what grand a trip it would be.
It might be a place that I have never been, or maybe one in back or in front of me.

As I ponder my choice, my thoughts soon clear on the details of my plan.
I’m going back to my Mother’s womb, that special place where my “hair first began.”

It must have felt pure, warm, and protected, engulfed in her amniotic.
Heartbeats together, never straying apart, how magical and hypnotic.

But I wouldn’t know, cause my memories won’t show, locked deep in many lost thoughts.
Yes, I’m going back to that special place “where my hair first began.”

While I was there, what was hers, she made mine, thus blessing me with all my time.
There, I grew safe while crowding her space, snuggled safely against her spine.

The beginning of my path to where I am now at, “Yes,” I’m going back to the start of my act,
That special place where my “hair first began.”

Homemade Peach Pie

Homemade peach pie, don’t throw away your peaches just because they are getting a little long in the tooth. Peel them, if they have some bad spots, a little brown spot is fine. After peeling rinse and cleaning up your peaches. Add some sugar and a little flour to the peaches and the juice from a small lemon. It brings out the peach flavor. Mix and set aside. Make your pie crust, many recipes availible online. I use crisco, myself. And I will add a little sugar and some baking powder with my flour for a light, flaky and sweet crust. Rool.out on a pie crust mat spray pie dish with an olive oil mister fold rolled dough and carefully place in your pie dish. Trim excess and use with left over dough and roll out for top crust. Make vent cuts in top crust. I make a P for peach Bake in a 325 preheated oven until crust edges are slightly browned and a tooth pick pushed into pie fillings comes out clean let cool add ice cream and enjoy
