CLOSED EYES

Closed eyes are upon me as I wander thru my dark night.

Seeking, only knowledge, and with it comes my light.

Prying open my own eyes, so tightly clasped together.

Once I cast them upon that light, they will be open “Forever”

I wrote this sometime in the 1980s while under the influence of something. I can’t remember what, but I’m sure it was probably illegal at the time.

    1. I assume you like my comments on THE state of mind at the time I wrote it.. My brother,
      Just think of all of the money that was spent trying to determine the negative effects of “that particular substance” when all they had to do was ask me. Now I wouldnt have been able to tell them cause I would have forgot their question. Most likely because I was desperately searching for some munchies! CHEETO’S, CHEETO’S, MY KINGDOM FOR SOME CHEETO’S
